Dear Friends of
St. Martin’s,
It’s
hard to believe that we are already into the second month of
the new school year. We look forward to a year filled with
success for all.
We are happy to
inform you that thanks to David Gonzalez ’71 the
Directresses of the Patron’s Program visited us in June and,
as a result, we have been the beneficiaries of some
wonderful gifts. During the month of July, we received
hundreds of books for our classroom libraries and many
educational toys and games. We, also recently, received a
beautiful piano that has led to much excitement and pleasure
for our students. We have become part of
Creative Classroom,
a program designed to improve writing skills through the use
of Art. Two of our teachers received training from
Classroom Inc.
and will be working with our fifth to the eighth grades on
computer based programs to use Math skills to set up and
learn how to run their own businesses. We are truly
grateful for all the Patron’s Program has done, thus far, to
assist us.
I thank you for
your continued support of our school. As with you our
expenses increase each year but on a larger scale. Through
your generosity we have been able to continue to give the
quality education that those of you who attended St.
Martin’s School received in the past.
